BLU-RAY REVIEW & GIVEAWAY — “Shaft”

An unfiltered, unapologetic, generational comedy, “Shaft” is now available on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, and Digital. Directed by Tim Story, the sequel to the 1970’s originals and 2000 remake stars Samuel L. Jackson, Jessie T. Usher, and the legendary Richard Roundtree as three generations of Shaft.

The updated film follows JJ, aka John Shaft Jr. (Usher), a cyber security expert with a degree from MIT who must rely on his dad’s street smarts to uncover the truth behind his best friend’s untimely death.

Absent throughout JJ’s youth, the legendary locked-and-loaded John Shaft (Samuel L. Jackson) agrees to help his progeny navigate Harlem’s heroin-infested underbelly. And while JJ’s own FBI analyst’s badge may clash with his dad’s trademark leather duster, there’s no denying family. Besides, Shaft’s got an agenda of his own, and a score to settle that’s professional and personal. Read our review of the hilarious film here.

Samuel L Jackson is an amazing actor. Many great movies he has been in, how to decide. I liked him in the movie Coach Carter. One of a true story he plays is of a basketball coach in the late 90’s that made the news of how he believes in academics for the school winning team.
